We are all in the twenty-first century and need to realize that the internet is now controlling almost every aspect of daily life. There are millions of us who wake up and check our email before we even grab that first cup of coffee or take a shower. That’s kind of a scary fact to think of. But when you take a step back and look at the truth is we are attached at the hip with the internet. With all of this in mind its no wonder why companies are searching for browser based systems which will help them organize their business processes and continuously stay in contact around the world. Some organizations are a bit sketchy about this approach because they are nervous about making all of their information accessible to hackers over the internet.

First it is important to keep in mind that because a system is browser based that does not mean it must be ran via the internet. In fact many companies run their systems through their very own local intranet which means the information is only available to the browsers within their system. Browsers do not have to be only on a computer, they can also be located on a cell phone or any other hand held device. As long as there is a browser on the device and it has access to the internal server it is safe.
